Top Places To Visit in WA

There are so many wonderful places to visit in Australia that you’ll never need to go abroad to have a new experience. With this in mind, let’s take a look at some of the top places to visit in Western Australia.

Margaret River Discovery Tours

Gaining a consistent 5 stars on TripAdvisor, Margaret River Discovery Tours are run by Sean Blocksidge. These adventure tours involve 4-wheel drives across sand dunes, canoeing, hiking the Cape to Cape Track and tasting some of the best wines the region has to offer! A ‘must’ whenever you’re in the area!

Ningaloo Reef

If you would love to try snorkelling at beautiful coral gardens enjoying seeing the local aquatic life or if you would prefer exploring breathtaking gorges, Ningaloo Reef has something for everyone. The Cape Range National Park is the place to spot echidnas and kangaroos. When you visit Ningaloo Reef, you’ll make lifelong memories.

The Kimberley

The Kimberley is known as the place where Dreamtime began. The oldest people on the planet, the Australian Aboriginal came here over 40,000 years ago. In fact, the area is known as a place where human life stemmed from on earth.

The Kimberley is an amazing 3 times the size of England but has less than 40,000 people living there (compared to 57 million people in England!) Because of its amazing history and low population, the Kimberley is the perfect spot to get away from it all. Imagine, rivers, beaches, waterfalls and gorges spread throughout the most dramatic and wild setting. There are even parts of this area that have yet to be seen by people. Beautiful!

Karijini National Park, Pilbara

Imagine 100-metre gorge walls almost 3 billion years old. You can see all this and more at Hancock Gorge in Karijini National Park. You can even stay the night in an ensuite safari-style tent at the Aboriginal-owned Karijini Eco Retreat after a day exploring the beautiful swimming holes, narrow fissures and canyons.

Kalgoorlie

Kalgoorlie is steeped in history from the goldfield days. Visit the 965-kilometre-long Golden Quest Discovery Trail to gain some insight into local history. There are daily flights from Perth so you can get here with ease. Alternatively, you can drive or take the train.

Broome

Broome is a beautiful place where you can enjoy sunset camel tours, perfect weather and the beautiful turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. You can even go on a pearl farm tour and come home with a few souvenirs!

Rottnest Island

Rottnest Island is the perfect destination if you love water sports and fishing. It boasts more than 60 beautiful bays and beaches to enjoy! The Island is an A-Class Reserve where all animals and plants are protected by law. Remember to take your quokka selfie while you’re there!

Western Australia is one of the most beautiful places in the world and it’s right here on our own doorstep!
