There are so many wonderful places to visit in Australia that you’ll never need to go abroad to have a new experience. With this in mind, let’s take a look at some of the top places to visit in Queensland.

The Daintree

One of the most beautiful areas of Australia, the Daintree is the most ancient continuous living rainforest in the world. Have a swim in one of the many waterholes and enjoy the beautiful Cassowary Falls. You also need to see the 2-kilometre rear section back loop of Mossman Gorge with is creeks and beautiful big old trees!

Noosa

Another great place to visit when you’re in Queensland is Noosa. It’s the perfect place for wildlife spotting with its whales, dolphins and turtles. You can also visit Pomona’s Majestic Theatre which is the oldest silent movie theatre on earth. The local dining scene in Noosa is excellent too. There’s truly something for everyone! The climate is wonderful all year round as well!

Hamilton Island

Hamilton Island is one of the Whitsunday Islands at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. There’s so much to see and do here. In fact, the waters are warm enough that you can swim here all year round!

Cape York Outback

Cape York is situated at the northernmost tip of Australia. The area is steeped in Indigenous culture and is also where Captain Cook spent a lot of his time. Here, you can enjoy the Laura Aboriginal Dance Festival that’s held every two years. You can also enjoy beautiful clean beaches, fishing, rainforests and rock art. Remember to make a special point to visit the Fruit Bat Falls that boast some of the best swimming holes in the country!
