Top Places To Visit In New South Wales

New South Wales is yet another jewel in our Australian crown. Think of breathtaking beaches, unspoilt landscapes and vibrant city nightlife. Whether you’re in Sydney the capital or you choose to explore further afield, there’s something for everyone here!

Byron Bay

Byron Bay comes alive from May to October when the whales migrate. The Bay is the home of the Bundjalung of Byron Bay Arakwal People that is co-managed with the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. If you enjoy walking, take the Cape Byron Walking Track to Walgun where you can see the lighthouse as well as many spectacular natural views.

Port Stephens

Port Stephens is another wonderful place to go whale watching between May and November. Additionally, there are loads of amazing beaches and places to eat and drink. If you love your beer (and who doesn’t?) you should drop into Murray’s Craft Brewing Co. for a bite to eat and to try some of the beers brewed on-site.

Southern Highlands

The Southern Highlands area is easily accessible from Canberra or Sydney and makes a great day trip. If you love cricket, you should visit the Bradman Hall of Fame. There are also loads of historic villages nearby with lots of little cafes and some great shopping! Animal and nature lovers will enjoy The Wombat Park. You can take in some amazing views up Hammock Hill as well as seeing the wombats, of course!
