Fun Things to do in Perth With Kids

Perth is a beautiful city with so much to do in and around the surrounding area too. Whether you’ve lived here for years or are visiting with your children for the first time, there’s a lot going on for you all to enjoy! Here, we’ve put together a quick run-down of some of the best family days out Perth has to offer:

Perth Zoo

Just five minutes is all it takes to get to Perth Zoo from the city centre. The zoo hosts more than 1,000 animals from around the globe as well as many indigenous Aussie species. You can see these in the Australian Wetlands and the Australian Walkabout sections.

Rottnest Island

Experience a more laidback side of Perth when you and your kids visit Rottnest Island. With its reef and snorkel trails, incredible beaches and what’s billed to be “the happiest animal in the world”, the quokka, the Island is the type of place you and yours could spend an entire day and not get bored. There are also loads of outdoor activities to enjoy too!

Eagle Wools

Eagle Wools is a family business established in 1979. You and your kids can visit the South Fremantle premises and see your very own Ugg boots being made! You can also pick up plenty of real Australian souvenirs as a reminder of your family trip.

Pick Your Own

Luckily, fruit season lasts all year long in Perth. There’s always something juicy and tasty to be found. You and your kids can have a go at picking apples at Pickering Brook in the Perth Hills or find some tasty mangoes 40km north in Neerabupin the autumn. In spring and summer, berries and plums are in great supply.

So, if you’re looking for Perth tourist attractions to visit with your kids you’ll be absolutely spoiled for choice!
